I had the pleasure of staying at Pillon recently, and as an avid landscape photographer from Cork, I appreciate a balance between value and luxury, particularly when exploring stunning locales. The location of the hotel is undeniably convenient – just a short stroll from the beach and nestled along the main walking street, yet the lounge area remains surprisingly quiet. One aspect that stood out was the dining experience. The evening meal was included in our stay, which is quite refreshing, though drinks were an extra cost. A unique touch was the practice of saving any unfinished bottled water to be served again the next evening. That’s a small yet thoughtful detail that reflects the team’s commitment to service. The breakfast was diverse and satisfying, and the hotel boasts excellent facilities: complimentary beach access, umbrellas, and sun loungers made our stay even more enjoyable. With friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere, it felt like a home away from home, particularly with the added benefit of luggage storage after check-out. In terms of luxury versus value, Pillon strikes a fair balance, making it a smart choice for your seaside getaway.
